It operates seven cruise ferries from the conveniently located ports of Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth to France and Spain, and the company's gateways of Caen, Cherbourg, St Malo and Roscoff in France and Santander in Northern Spain. They offer holidaymakers the chance to arrive much closer to the many popular holiday destinations in Western France and Spain than those travelling across the traditional Dover Straits.
And the fleet was boosted in March 2004 by the introduction of the £100 million superferry Pont-Aven, pictured, on the Plymouth-Santander route.
In July 2002, the £80 million superferry Mont St Michel entered service on the Portsmouth to Caen route. At the same time, there was a 10 per cent increase in capacity on the Plymouth to Roscoff service with the introduction of the Duc de Normandie.
The highly successful Vitesse fastcraft, which completes the Poole to Cherbourg crossing in just 135 minutes, operates in conjunction with the company's popular "classic" cruise ferry, the Barfleur, giving passengers greater flexibility and choice.
Brittany Ferries is more than a ferry company, offering a wide range of inclusive holidays to France and Spain as well as other value for money products such as Freedom Vouchers, a money saving Priviledge Card plus a special service for overseas property owners, through the Property Owners Club.
