CARNIVAL FANTASY 
Even more dazzling
Carnival's 2,056-passenger Fantasy undewrwent an an extensive multi-million-dollar refurbishment in September 2003.
The five-week makeover in Freeport, Bahamas, included a new lobby bar, remodelled cabins and a redesigned promenade.
Says Carnival president Bob Dickinson: "Fantasy is even more dazzling."
Changes iincluded:
- A new lobby bar offering the ideal spot for before and after-dinner
cocktails and people watching.
- A lobby stage where a trio will play classical music during embarkation and throughout the voyage.
- A complete facelifty of the staterooms with new wall coverings, furniture, bedding and linens. Remodelled in-cabin bathrooms with updated vanities, new tile work and shampoo and soap dispensers.
- Elegant new furniture on the promenade and and a decorative marble floor with
carpet inlays.
- Enhanced Windows on the Sea poolside restaurant, with new tile work, carpeting and additional salad and dessert bar stations.
Numerous other areas throughout the ship, including Cleopatra's Bar,
Electricity Dance Club, Cats Lounge, and Celebration and Jubilee dining
rooms, received cosmetic enhancements, with new carpeting and wall
coverings throughout.
The 70,000-ton Fantasy entered service in 1990 to operate year-round three and four-day Bahamas voyages from Port Canaveral, Florida. Three-day cruises
depart Thursdays and overnight in Nassau, while four-day voyages depart Sundays
and feature an overnight call in Nassau, as well as a day-long stop in
Freeport.
