YEAR 2007 Some fresh Imagination in the Caribbean
February 9, 2007 - The tropical destinations of Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk and Nassau will in an exciting new three-port, five-day itinerary operated by Carnival's 2,052-passenger Imagination.
The new itinerary, which begins August 13, 2007, is the latest enhancement to the ship's popular year-round four and five-day Caribbean cruise program from Miami.
In addition to the new three-port five-day itinerary departing Mondays, the Imagination's four-day cruises departing Thursdays call at Key West and Calica, while five-day cruises departing Saturdays visit Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios.
Half Moon Cay is a stunning crescent-shaped private Bahamian island renowned for its gorgeous white-sand beaches and diverse shore excursion opportunities, including horseback riding, kayaking, and parasailing. Beachside cabanas, including a new 1,600-foot Grand Cabana, and a children's water park are located along the island's exquisite waterfront.
Grand Turk, of the Turks & Caicos Islands, is the Caribbean's newest cruise destination. This pristine island offers magnificent beaches, interesting historical attractions and landmarks, and myriad shore excursions, with a particular emphasis on watersports. Imagination will dock at the new Grand Turk Cruise Center which fgatures an expansive recreation area that includes a swimming pool, an array of retail shops and an 800ft-long beach and a Margaritaville-themed restaurant.
The third destination on the itinerary, Nassau, offers spectacular white-sand beaches and aqua-blue waters popular with snorkelers and scuba divers, as well as a wide range of shopping, sightseeing and dining choices. A rich cultural heritage, gracious hospitality and stunning architecture highlight this historic Bahamian capital.
