October 25, 2009 - Cruisers can explore Holland America Line's newest ship, the 2,104-guest Nieuw Amsterdam, through a new dedicated microsite.
The site allows visitors to experience the beauty and features of Holland America Line's newest Signature class ship through interactive videos, photographs, animation and renderings that bring the ship to life.
Says executive vice president Richard Meadows: "We are using the latest technology to present our new ship's diverse amenities in a way that informs, engages and inspires our guests. We look forward with great anticipation to the launch of this beautiful ship next July. Until then, this new site allows us to share all the wonderful details with cruisers who are anxious to experience the Nieuw Amsterdam."
When first arriving at the page, a vibrant animated invitation to explore the Nieuw Amsterdam greets visitors. From this aerial, 360-degree view of the ship, visitors can then enter into public areas of the ship to visually explore staterooms, the grand atrium, entertainment and dining venues, and other locations.
