ULYSEES
The biggest cruiseferry in the world
The world's largest cruiseferry, the 50,938-ton Ulysees, entered service on Irish Ferries' Dublin Port- Holyhead in March 2001.
Mairead Berry, Ireland's 25-year old Paralympic Games gold medal swimmer, performed the official naming at a special ceremony in Dublin Port three weeks after the vessel arrived in Dublin from the shipyard in Finland where she was built.
The IR£80 million Ulysses was the fourth new vessel introduced by Irish Ferries on its
Ireland-Britain routes in recent years.
