Sophia is the Queen of Musica

June 30, 2006 - Former screen goddess Sophia Loren christened MSC's new flagship, Musica, in a lavish ceremony in Venice last night.

More than 1,000 guests were in town for the naming ceremony which took place at the quayside with Musica as the stunning backdrop.

The 2,550 passenger ship is the first of three MSC ships from the Aker Yards in St Nazaire, France.
