Happy couples will be able to say "I do" on board superliners Arcadia and Artemis in 2005 with ceremonies being conducted by the ship's captain.
Nearly 70 per cent of people are now married in civil ceremonies with a growing number of couples opting for an alternative venue to the registry office.
Says Spokesman Philip Price:
"The romantic notion of being married by the captain while on the perfect holiday can now be a reality. With more couples than ever choosing to get married in alternative wedding venues, Arcadia and Artemis offer the ideal setting."
Weddings at Sea will be offered as a bespoke service, with couples having a choice of venue - either out on deck or within a variety of stylish interior rooms. The couple will be able to choose how they would like to celebrate - from an intimate candlelit dinner to a full reception for family and friends.
To further personalize a couple's big day, there are wide choices of music, wedding cakes, champagne and wines, flowers and stationery together with a photography and video service available to capture the magic moments. And the bride may also wish to spend time being pampered in the ship's Oasis Spa before visiting the beauty salon, with services ranging from hair and nails to a full make-up.
