The 77,000-ton Sun Princess was, when she was launched, the largest and most innovative luxury cruise ship afloat, rising 14 decks and stretching nearly three football fields in length.
She carries 1,950 passengers in 1,050 cabins - more than double the number of rooms in the UK's largest hotel, The Grosvenor.

There are five dining areas including two main dining rooms, a spectacular pizzeria featuring stone floors and decorative wrought iron and two international food courts. The disco and casino are separated by a circular marble foyer and staircase. In the same traditions as Royal Princess, a teak promenade deck encircles the ship on the main deck.
An elegantly appointed mid-ship piano bar provides passengers with the perfect spot for before or after-dinner cocktails. Designed to capture the essence of the great liners of yesteryear, this lounge is decorated in brass, leather and wood and features various ships' models and memorabilia. Appropriately named The Wheel House, the room also features a ship's wheel and binnacle.
Fitness buffs can keep "shipshape" with the latest hi-tech equipment in a glass-walled health centre and spa, located at the top of the ship overlooking the sea. There are also five jacuzzis, two further pools, and an aft sports deck and a top-of-the-ship walking deck.
