OASIS OF THE SEAS

Be the first to sail on
Oasis of Royal Caribbean cruise line

January 19, 2009 - Oasis of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship, will be coming into service 12 days ahead of schedule.

In anticipation of the incredible demand from consumers to join the first sailings, Royal Caribbean International has added two additional cruises to Oasis of the Seas' inaugural programme.

The first ever paying guest cruise, a four-night Labadee cruise extravaganza onboard Oasis of the Seas, is on sale now for travel in December 2009.

Prices start from £511 per person (based on two sharing an inside stateroom) and from £618 per person (based on two sharing an Oceanview balcony stateroom). Price includes a four-night cruise calling at Labadee (Haiti) before returning to Fort Lauderdale (Florida). Price is based on December 1 departure.

Also on sale now is the first nine-night Eastern Caribbean fly/cruise onboard Oasis of the Seas. Prices start from £1,752pp (based on two sharing an inside stateroom) and from £2,149 (based on two sharing an Oceanview balcony stateroom). Price includes return flights to Fort Lauderdale (Florida) from London Gatwick; transfers, one night's hotel accommodation and a seven-night cruise calling at St Thomas, St Maarten and the Bahamas before returning to Fort Lauderdale. Price is based on the December 4 departure from the UK.

All prices include meals and entertainment onboard and all cruise taxes and fees. For more information and to book call 0845 165 8330 or visit

The 220,000-ton Oasis of the Seas will span 16 decks and accommodate over 5,400 guests in 2,700 staterooms. Standing upright bow-to-stern, the ship would dwarf the One Canada Square building at Canary Wharf and New York's Chrysler Building and can accommodate more guests per sailing than the capacity of the Royal Albert Hall (5,544 seats).
