Largest European season ever offered
June 22, 2006 - Royal Caribbean's 15-month worldwide schedule from January 2007 to March 2008 features the largest European programme ever offered and a new exclusive charter to the Dominican Republic.
A Europe and the Mediterranean dedicated brochure exclusively highlights the first-ever season of a Voyager-class ship, Navigator of the Seas, sailing from Southampton in April 2007.
Prices in Europe kick off at £199 per person for a two-night cruise from Southampton to Le Havre on the new Navigator of the Seas. And in the Caribbean, the new Legend of the Seas' Dominican Republic charter starts from £1,199 for an eight-night fly/cruise.
Largest European deployment
Royal Caribbean International significantly increases its presence in Europe during 2007, marked particularly by the arrival of the 3,114-passenger capacity Navigator of the Seas in Southampton in April 2007.
A second Voyager-class ship, Voyager of Seas, will be based in Barcelona offering five different itineraries of three, four, six and seven-nights, plus a ten-night cruise calling in Casablanca, Morocco for the first time.
Legend of the Seas returns to Europe with cruises from Rome following a 2006 season in Southampton, and Splendour of the Seas will repeat the popular seven-night Croatia, Greek Isles and Turkey cruises currently available in 2006. Based from Barcelona, Brilliance of the Seas will offer 12-night Greek Isles and Venice cruises, plus a one-off nine-night cruise from Rome featuring Italy, France and Croatia. Brilliance of the Seas also features Royal Caribbean International's first ever call into Toulon, France.
Returning to Harwich, Jewel of the Seas will offer a 12-night British Isles and Norwegian Fjords cruise, and two different 12-night Scandinavia and Russia cruises featuring Visby, Sweden for the first time.
New cruises in the Caribbean onboard the newest fleet additions
From December 2007 until March 2008, Royal Caribbean will offer its first ever Dominican Republic cruises by exclusive private charter. Two different itineraries aboard Legend of the Seas can be combined back-to-back for a 15-night cruise. The eight-night fly/cruises include direct flights from London Gatwick to Santa Domingo at convenient times on cruise departure days to ensure a smooth journey and maximize holiday time.
Ports of call include Philipsburg (St Maarten), Roseau (Dominica), St George's (Grenada), Margarita Island (Venezuela), and Oranjestad (Aruba - overnight stay). The second cruise option includes Basseterre (St Kitts), Pointe-a-Pitre (Guadeloupe), Fort-de-France (Martinique), Bridgetown (Barbados) and Castries (St Lucia). The eight-night fly/cruise is available from £1,199 pp (based on two sharing an inside cabin).
Welcomed to the Royal Caribbean International fleet in May 2006, Freedom of the Seas expands the destination portfolio available from the world's most innovative cruise ship. In addition to theWestern Caribbean itinerary currently available, in 2007 Freedom introduces the Eastern Caribbean on nine-night fly/cruises.
Arriving in the fleet in May 2007, the sister ship to Freedom of the Seas, will begin nine-night fly/cruises from Miami to the Eastern Caribbean (including San Juan in Puerto Rico and Philipsburg in St Maarten) from May 11.
Navigator of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas offer new opportunities for back-to-back cruises from Miami on six and five-night Western Caribbean cruises.
Rest of the World
There are new Panama Canal itineraries of 14-nights, operating both eastbound and westbound. Plus, the increased number of transatlantic cruises means more new destinations including Casablanca, Morocco from Voyager of the Seas and Brilliance of the Seas. The transatlanticprogrammes of Jewel of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas and Brilliance of the Seas feature Plymouth and Falmouth in the UK.
