YEAR 2007
Second South America Winter Season; New Ports in Europe and the Caribbean
August 12, 2006 - Business is booming for SeaDream Yacht Club, operator of the twin, ultra-luxury yachts SeaDream I and II.
Bookings for 2007 are already 50 per cent ahead compared to this time last year.
In 2007 SeaDream will be sailing primarily on seven-night voyages in Europe (Summer) and the Caribbean (Winter); and nine-nights in South America (Winter), offering offers more beaches, more overnights and more late evenings in ports.
Among new 2007 ports in Europe are:
- Molyvos on the Isle of Lesvos, with picturesque streets bordered by stone houses and exciting shops, restaurants and cafes. Two of the island's "natural" treasures are Olive Oil and Ouzo.
- Phytagorion on the lively Greek island of Samos - an ideal Greek Isles yachting port with an n appealing ambience.
- Naousa, once a small fishing village on the Greek island of Paros, the village is now one of the new chic destinations.
- Paxoi a verdant Greek island, quiet and chic, with magnificent clear water beaches, small coves and sea caves.
Says SeaDream's UK Senior Director Ian Buckeridge: "These are ideal destinations for SeaDream; larger vessels simply cannot call on small ports like these. SeaDream will also visit Kotor, the important medieval town on the Adriatic coast of Montenegro. The town is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The approach to Kotor is stunning as SeaDream sails along the longest and deepest fjord in Southern Europe."
In 2007 and in 2008 SeaDream will add more deployments to Croatia from Venice; and in 2008 it will add its first voyages to Libya.
In the Caribbean, SeaDream has added:
- Anegada, small, sea-level, coral island in the British Virgin Islands, surrounded by an incredible reef and offering some of the best unspoiled beaches in the Caribbean. Notable and succulent lobsters await the visitors.
- Barbuda, a flat coral island with wonderful beaches and an amazing frigate bird colony, it is a neighbour of Antigua and located in the Leeward Islands of the Lesser Antilles.
- Vieques, is one of the US Virgin Islands, with spectacular beaches; and for nature lovers there's hiking biking and horseback riding. A must-see experience is a visit to one of the world's best bio-luminescent bays.
- Culebrita is part of the Culebrita Archipelago of Puerto Rico and part of a wildlife refuge. This small uninhabited island is teeming with sea life and an important sea turtle nesting ground.
There will also be more calls on Montserrat, that wonderful, Leeward Island of the Lesser Antilles to take a look at the breathtaking volcanic scenery, and picturesque St Barts in the French West Indies. These chic ports have high interest for SeaDream guests.
SeaDream will also be back for its second Winter season in South America. These schedules will see a variety of itineraries from Rio de Janeiro to Buenos Aires or vice versa. Again, there will be voyages beginning and ending in Buenos Aires and will include ports in Uruguay and visits to famed Iguacu Falls. All will include chic yachting resorts.
