YEAR 2008
Your Silversea Atlas awaits you
August 16, 2007 - Silversea Cruises has released its latest Voyage
Atlas showcasing nearly 200 imaginative itineraries visiting all corners up
to December 2008.
The new brochure opens with Silversea ambassador Isabella Rossellini and
her daughter Elettra Wiedemann lounging on Silver Whisper's aft deck,
savouring the last rays of an evening sunset - an image evoking the
luxurious freedom and convivial ambiance of the Silversea lifestyle that
unfolds throughout the following pages.
Says Silversea's Trudy Redfern: "Our ships and itineraries cater to the
discerning traveller's love of fascinating locales and authentic
experiences. We think this new brochure does an excellent job of
communicating Silversea's easygoing luxury and the rewards of travelling by
small ship to explore the world's most desirable destinations."
In addition to an easy-to-read, voyage-by-voyage summary of cruise
itineraries, the brochure features comprehensive information on Silversea's
signature amenities, special programmes, deck plans and pricing. The
balance of the brochure is dedicated to enrichment programmes, optional
shore excursions and land programmes.
A sampling of the line's complimentary shoreside experiences, available on
select voyages, offers the chance to enjoy a classical concert at ancient
Ephesus, delight in an evening of fine dining and African music in the
Namib desert, or take in the spectacle of the Blue Wall glacier aboard a
catamaran in Laguna San Rafael, Chile.
Silversea is also offering a rich variety of pre- and post-cruise land
packages and safaris ranging in length from two to six night. Guests may
choose to retreat to the Huka Lodge on New Zealand's North Island to soak
in a natural hot pool, or immerse themselves in the old-world romance of
rail travel as they leisurely explore the Scottish Highlands aboard the
luxurious Royal Scotsman.
Those who prefer to live life in the fast lane may decide to test drive the
latest Ferraris on the winding roads of the Tuscan wine country, while
other adventure seekers may enjoy an African game drive on Kenya's Maasai
Mara.
In 2008, the company's four all-suite ships are set to visit nearly 340
different ports in 116 countries on a diverse schedule of over 140
itineraries ranging from six to 110 days.
Silver Shadow kicks off the year with its second World Cruise, departing
Fort Lauderdale in January. Other highlights include return visits to
Alaska and Hawaii, plus 27 new destinations, including first-ever visits to
Taiwan, Okinawa, Guam, the Marshall Islands, Pohnpei, the Marquesas and
Northern Mariana Islands in the Pacific; The Gambia and Mozambique in
Africa; and Saudi Arabia.
