LE BAR à VINS
52 Place d'Armes, Calais.
Tel: (21) 96 96 31
Open: 9am-7pm. Closed Wednesday.
Best buys: Owner Luc Gilles steadfastly refuses to nominate any of his fine selection of wines as best buys because, as the sign in the window says: "Quality is not always measured by price." Le Bar à Vins is the kind of place you visit in order to revel in the French wine-buying experience. Luc and his wife Isabel only sell vintages they enjoy themselves, so they are happy to let you taste and try. And the proof is in the palate.
WHEN it comes to hypermarkets, supermarkets and superstores, the

It may have a population of just 80,000 but you'll simply be spoilt for choice wherever you look.
