Royal Princess sets sail
April 19, 2007 - Royal Princess, the newest addition to the Princess fleet, set sail on her maiden voyage from Barcelona today.
The 710-passenger vessel debuts with a series of unique Elite Mediterranean cruises that feature a variety of new itineraries and unique ports. Royal Princess' first Mediterranean Interlude voyage features calls in Marseille, Florence/Pisa, Elba, Palermo, and Mallorca.
The 30,000-ton Royal Princess is the intimately sized sister vessel to the line's popular Tahitian Princess and Pacific Princess. Her christening ceremony will take place on June 14 in the picturesque Italian port of Portofino.

Princess weddings go fleetwide
July 6, 2006 - Princess Cruises is expanding its Tie the Knot at Sea wedding programme across the entire 15-ship fleet.
Originally offered only on the bigger ships which have formal wedding chapels, this romantic option is now also available on Sun Princess, Dawn Princess, Sea Princess, Regal Princess, Pacific Princess and Tahitian Princess.
Princess's wedding at sea programme was introduced in 1998 with the launch of Grand Princess and is now so popular that last year a thousand couples took the plunge.
Every At Sea wedding includes live music, champagne, bridal bouquet and groom's matching boutonniere, a photo package with canvas portrait, a wedding cake, a souvenir wedding certificate and the services of an onboard wedding coordinators to make sure the day runs smoothly.
Prices for weddings at sea start at $1,800 for the ceremony plus $450 for the registration and licence fees.

Crown Princess ready for handover
May 24, 2006 - Crown Princess will become the 15th ship in the fleet when Princess Cruises takes delivery from Fincantieri's Monfalcone shipyard in Italy on Saturday (May 27).
The 113,000-ton vessel will then sail to New York for a lavish naming ceremony before her inaugural cruise to the Caribbean on June 14. US media celebrity Martha Stewart will act as godmother.

Intimate South Pacific in 2007
April 24, 2006 - Princess Cruises' smaller and more intimate vessels will spend summer 2007 sailing a variety of South Pacific itineraries.
Pacific Princess, Tahitian Princess and Regal Princess will each offer different South Pacific options.
Pacific Princess crosses the Pacific from Sydney, offering a variety of cruise segments along the way. Tahitian Princess begins another full season of French Polynesia and Hawaii/Tahiti sailings, now scheduled through spring 2008. And Regal Princess's final season with the line features the company's first ever summer sailings on the favourite roundtrip Hawaiian Islands sailings.

Emerald set to sparkle in Rome
April 6, 2006 - Princess Cruises' next new ship, the 113,000-ton Emerald Princess, will set sail on her first voyage from Rome in April 2007.
Currently under construction at Italy's Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, she will be the line's first ship to begin life cruising from Rome's seaport, the town of Civitavecchia.
Her first cruise, a 12-day Greek Isles itinerary, is scheduled to set sail on April 11 on a voyage to Venice via Naples/Capri, Santorini, Rhodes, Kusadasi, Mykonos, Athens, Katakolon, Corfu and Dubrovnik.

Most extensive European season in 2007
April 5, 2006 - Princess has unveiled its most extensive European season to date in 2007, with five ships ranging from 680 to 3,100 passengers offering itineraries of seven to 24 days to destinations as varied as Iceland and Egypt.
Royal Princess and Emerald Princess make their debuts with European sailings, as do five new boutique itineraries, featuring four new European ports and a return to the Holy Land.
Altogether there are 81 departures on 31 unique itineraries, calling at 110 ports between April 11 and December 3.

All lovey dovey on Crown Princess
January 10, 2006 - Princess is going all romantic with the launch of Crown Princess in June.
A £400 Engagement Under The Stars package will give suitors the ultimate showcase to pop the question with a pre-recorded personal video proposal on the giant poolside Movies Under the Stars screen ahead of the evening's feature film.
The lovestruck deal also includes champagne, photographs, an in-room breakfast and dinner for two at an alternative dining venue, a couple's massage in the Lotus Spa, a pottery class at which the couple will design a commemorative engagement plate souvenir, a 10 per cent discount on fine jewellery in the shipboard boutiques and a credit towards a Princess wedding-at-sea.
