Le Boreal captain named
January 1, 2010 - Compagnie du Ponant has announced that Captain Jean-Philippe Lemaire will take the helm of Le Boréal when she sets sail in May, 2010.
One of Compagnie du Ponant's most loyal members of staff, Jean-Philippe Lemaire has been with the French cruise line since its creation in 1986 and has commanded all the fleet's ships Le Ponant (eight years), Le Levant (five years) and Le Diamant (six years).

An English Revolution
December 8, 2009 - French cruise line Compagnie du Ponant has responded to increased demand from the international marketplace by introducing a range of new measures to satisfy the needs of its English-speaking passengers.
Measures include the employment of bi-lingual officers and crew, shore excursions will be arranged in both English and French, with daily programmes on board, all menus and TV stations will in future all be available in both English and French.

Pole position for Le Boreal's arrival
November 23, 2009 - To celebrate her first season, Le Boréal of Compagnie du Ponant is heading for two of the French Riviera's most glamorous and sought-after events.
The five-day round-trip cruise, from Nice on May 13, 2010, will call at Saint Tropez, Cannes and Monaco. The lead in fare is £2,010 per person.
The voyage will call in Cannes for one day during the Film Festival, followed by two days in the Principality for Formula 1's most coveted motor racing event of the year: the Monaco Grand Prix.

Le Boréal joininig a dream world of yacht cruising in 2010

Enticing destinations in Winter 2009-10
From hidden coves in the Indian Ocean to the Antarctic Peninsula by way of the Orinoco, Compagnie du Ponant's Winter 2009/2010 programme boasts an enticing choice of destinations just waiting to be discovered.
The three-masted, 64-passenger Le Ponant sails to the heart of the Mediterranean between Libya and Egypt in November, before heading to the Middle East (Sultanate of Oman, United Arab Emirates) and south of India in January 2010.
The 90-passenger yacht Le Levant will be exploring the Amazon and the Caribbean (December 2009 and March 2010), while the 226-passenger Le Diamant has five cruises dedicated to South Georgia and the Antarctic (December 2009 to February 2010).
