Irish beaches reopen to dogs
September 14, 2009 - With the No Dogs on the Beach restrictions now lifted across Ireland, autumn is a great time for dogs - and their families - to head across the Irish Sea and enjoy some bracing walkies along miles of golden sands.
Irish Ferries carries dogs free of charge on its ferries between Holyhead and Dublin or Pembroke and Rosslare; pooches can either stay in the car for the journey or travel in special on-board kennels.
Dogs planning a holiday in Ireland will be relieved to know that they require neither a 'pet passport' nor special injections. The operator also features self-catering holiday homes where pets are welcome.

Autumn and winter fares from £69
August 12, 2009 - Irish Ferries has announced that for the autumn and winter it will be offering a £69 one-way fare to Ireland.
With this lead-in fare - for car and driver - all taxes are included and the company guarantees there are no hidden extras such as fuel surcharges, baggage charges, check-in charges etc.
The £69 lead-in fare is available on the Pembroke-Rosslare service when booked before August 31 and at least 14 days before travel for the period September 1 to January 5, 2010. Extra adults pay £20 each; children under 15 years pay £10 each. Small supplements apply for weekend travel and on the Holyhead/Dublin route.

More incentive for frequent travellers
Irish Ferries have introduced additional incentives for those who keep crossing the sea to Ireland.
Frequent self-drive travellers to Ireland can benefit from substantial reductions by joining the company’s Frequent Traveller scheme.
Whether travelling on business, holiday or visiting friends and relatives, anyone making more than three trips a year can benefit from 20 per cent discounts on further crossings trips during a 12-month period.
