Demand for farewell cruises crashes booking system
March 8, 2010 - Demand for the Ocean Village Farewell Voyages was so great when they went on sale this morning that it crashed the booking systems.
Despite drafting in additional staff, the Ocean Village Reservations Centre was swamped, and the company was forced to pause bookings on the farewell sailings.
It is hoped sales will resume at 10am on Wednesday once any problems with the reservations systems have been resolved.

Ocean Village £200 farewell present
December 16, 2009 - Ocean Village is offering discounts of up to £200 per couple for the final summer sailings by Ocean Village in 2010.
From January 4 and until January 31 it will be spending £500,000 on a nationwide advertising campaign showcasing the 2010 Mediterranean farewell season.
Adverts will appear on GMTV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and digital TV including Sky, plus exposure on ITV1 North, Central and Scotland.
