Fast ferry for Portsmouth-Caen
March 30, 2004 - P&O Ferries launches its second fast ferry service on Friday (April 2) in response to growing demand for shorter crossings on the Western Channel.
The company has chosen Caen, in Normandy, for its new service. The Caen Express will make the crossing from Portsmouth in just 3 hours and 25 minutes, saving up to four hours compared to traditional ferries.
Breaking away from the ordinary
August 20, 2003 - Hide away at a converted water mill in the Loire, luxuriate in the Rothschild family's former home near Chantilly, or follow in the footsteps of Marie Antoinette at a traditional Black Forest hotel.
These are just some of the options in the first comprehensive continental short breaks programme from P&O Ferries, featuring more than 200 hotels in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.
Prices start from just £46 per person for a one-night break this autumn and packages include ferry crossings, with car, from a choice of P&O Ferries routes from Hull to Rotterdam or Zeebrugge, Dover to Calais, and Portsmouth to Cherbourg or Le Havre.
