Anything is possible with RCI
June 7, 2009 - - Royal Caribbean believes that 'anything is possible' with the launch of its new brand concept, Nation of Why Not.

Described as a floating nation where you are free to do whatever you want, Royal Caribbean has pushed the boundaries of imagination and innovation with this latest campaign, launched with TV, press, direct mail and email to promote the release of the new 2010/11 Europe and The Med, Worldwide and Winter Sun brochures.
With the announcement of Independence of the Seas to be based year-round from the UK, sailing directly from Southampton to the Mediterranean, plus the arrival of Oasis of the Seas sailing the Caribbean in December 2009 and her sister ship Allure of the Seas in 2010, there is certainly a lot to talk about.

A giant Oasis for RCI
May 26, 2008 - Royal Caribbean's first Project Genesis giant, scheduled for arrival towards the end of 2009, is to be called Oasis of the Seas.
The name was picked from more than 91,000 entries in a "Name that Ship" contest, which Royal Caribbean launched on January 18 in partnership with USA TODAY. Entrants were invited to submit two names ending in "of the Seas" that best encapsulate the universe of experiences a Royal Caribbean cruise provides.
The winning combination of names, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, was submitted by George Weiser, of Livonia, Michigan and earned him the honour of naming not only the world's next largest and most innovative cruise ships, but the entire class of the new ships, the Oasis-class.
According to RCI, the 220,000-ton Oasis of the Seas, when launched in late 2009, will be the largest and most revolutionary cruise ship in the world. She will span 16 decks, carry 5,400 guests and feature 2,700 staterooms. The ship will hbased in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
In 2010, she will be joined by sister ship, Allure of the Seas.
