Moliere joins SeaFrance fleet
October 1, 2008 - SeaFrance today introduced its latest superferry, the SeaFrance Moliere, into full car ferry mode.
The new ship,named after the celebrated French playwright, gives the Dover-Calais operator increased fleet capacity while continuing to reflect the high quality, continental atmosphere offered on board.

March 28, 2008 - SeaFrance Ferries' has announced its third new generation ferry will be named the SeaFrance Moliere.
She will have all the advantages of a modern ship, with larger capacity and double decks to aid fast loading and embarkation.
And By replacing the SeaFrance Manet and the SeaFrance Renoir, the SeaFrance Moliere completes SeaFrance's fleet renewal programme, which started in 2002 with the arrival of the SeaFrance Rodin.

New ferry being considered
November 14, 2007 - SeaFrance is looking to increase capacity with a new ferry on the Dover-Calais route. The move follows a 13 per cent year on year increase in car traffic from January until the end of September.
The French operator , which runs 30 crossings a day, achieved 5.5 per cent growth in passenger traffic over the same nine months compared with an overall market increase of three per cent.
It is reported to be investigating shipyard availability in Europe for the construction of a new vessel with significantly increased garage space.
