Taihiti sailing out of the door
October 12, 2007 - Star Clippers has announced that its new programme to Tahiti, which launches this winter, is already 40 per cent sold. This makes it the fastest selling product that the exclusive sailing company currently offers, and customers are being advised to book now for 2009 to avoid disappointment.
The passenger ship Star Flyer will be the first modern-day tall-ship to make its home year-round in French Polynesia, operating out of Tahiti from December 30. Starting from Papeete, it will sail seven, ten and eleven night voyages, taking in the Society Islands and the Tuamotus visiting, among others Bora Bora, Moorea, Huahine and Raiatea, Taha'a and Rangiroa.
Star Clipper spokeswoman said: "Our customers traditionally book well in advance, which means that cabins for the Tahiti voyages are already full for many of the scheduled sailing dates. Star Flyer offers a truly unique way of exploring the islands, combining the luxury of mega yacht cruising with the thrill of sailing aboard an authentic clipper ship."
