Taking to the floor with Destiny Dance Fever
August 2, 2007 - With the current UK craze for ballroom dancing, Thomson Cruises is launching Destiny Dance Fever on its largest ship, the Thomson Destiny.
The new programme, during January and February 2008, will conclude with a grand final competition in April to be hosted and judged by Strictly Come Dancing winners Darren Bennett and Lilia Kopylova.
Destiny Dance Fever is open to anyone with an interest in dance and kicks off in January with a series of eight 'dance' cruises on the Colourful Coasts itinerary which tours the delightful Canary Islands and Morocco.

Celebration to sail out of Liverpool
July 14, 2007 - Thomson Cruises is expanding its ex-UK programme by adding Liverpool to its range of UK ports in 2008.
Thomson entered the ex-UK arena in 2005 with cruises from Southampton, Newcastle (Port Of Tyne) and Harwich with Thomson Celebration - the same ship which will sail from all four ports next summer.
Says David Selby, head of Thomson Cruises: "Our ex-UK programme will be the largest yet, with carryings expected of more than 22,000 guests. We have a very loyal client base in the North West and not all prefer to fly to their chosen cruise ship. In addition, our taster cruise gives those who have not tried cruising the chance to experience it in three days."

Latest ship Calypso targets adults only
February 2, 2007 - Thomson Cruises has added a fifth ship to its fleet for the summer.
The Calypso is aimed exclusively for adults, and enables Thomson to be the first cruise operator to feature cruises in the Black Sea on a regular itinerary basis, consolidating position at the forefront of the UK cruise market.
The Calypso is Thomson's first adult only ship, offering cruises out of Cyprus during April and October and three itineraries out of Greece's second city of Thessalonika from May to September, with cruises around Greece and the islands, Turkey, Black Sea and Albania. Her size will enable her to sail through the Corinth Canal, making a variety of destinations easily accessible.
