DINING DELIGHTS

When people think of cruising they tend to think of wide expanses of sea, lazy days by the pool and visiting faraway shores.

What they probably don't immediately think of is world-class cuisine - yet on most cruises eating is more a gastronomic experience than a necessity!

Society is becoming more interested in dining as an experience and expectations are growing. To meet these demands, cruise lines are introducing a greater variety of dining options and more adventurous menus, including healthy eating options.

Many cruise lines offer a wide range of restaurants, bars and bistros where guests can sample food from around the world, from traditional English fare, Sushi bars or Italian-inspired pizzerias.

Some cruise lines also offer themed 'food and drink' cruises, with guest chefs on hand to teach guests more about food and cooking techniques.
