CRUISING THE WORLD

Testing the water

Some people are wary of committing themselves to a full world cruise for fear that such a long period of travel will send them 'stir crazy'.

>A sensible way to test the water is to try a world cruise sector first. All the world cruise operators break circumnavigationÕs down into shorter sectors, packaging them with flights - so you can choose how long you want to be away, and which part of the world tour you'd like to try.

One popular option is to do half a world cruise - from Britain to Australia - one year and the return leg the next.

This is also an excellent choice for people who have family or friends Down Under and want to combine a visit to Australia or New Zealand with a chance to see some of the world en route.
